HW-12 · Right-hand end panel
Right sight panel

Deciding
Where the right-hand end usually falls
Nothing here is a sales argument. Three of the four cases below end with us telling you not to order the part.
The right end is the way in
In most drawings we produce the run is approached from the right: the step, the door and the path from the house all arrive there. That makes the right flank the face people read first, before they see a single door.
It commonly finishes on a sink or a store
A sink cabinet is 800 mm and a storage unit is 800 or 900 mm, so a run that ends at the sink is ordinary. A panel on that end carries the panel line up to the worktop edge and closes the gap between the last door and the side.
Over a retaining edge it is the only finish you get
Where the run stops at the edge of a deck, a parapet or a pool surround, there is no wall behind it and no planting in front of it. The end is visible from outside the terrace as well as from the kitchen, and a bare cabinet side reads as unfinished from both.
Fix the colour when you order, not afterwards
The panel is finished in the same 304 face and the same colour as the doors, which only holds if both are ordered together. Adding a panel to a run already delivered means matching a batch, and batches move.
Straight answers
Questions about this module
Do I need one on both ends of a run?
Only on the end that is visible. If one end lands against a wall or a return, that side needs nothing — the panel would be paid for and never seen.
Is it finished in the same colour as the door?
Yes, from the same colour card. A custom colour carries the same one-off matching charge as the rest of the order, not a separate one for the panel.
Why is it 890 mm and not the 900 mm of the cabinet?
890 mm is the height recorded in our standard cabinet manual for this part, and it is the figure we build to. If your design needs the panel to run to a different line, say so at order and it is cut to that instead — it is a flat sheet, so the height is a cutting decision.
On the same run
Two panels on one island
When both ends of a run are visible, the pairing matters more than either panel on its own.
Order them as a pair
An island has no wall to hide behind, so both ends are exposed. HW-11 and HW-12 are mirror parts, cut from the same 656 x 890 sheet, and they are finished in the same colour as the door faces — which is the whole point of ordering them together.
What the pairing costs in length
Each panel adds 18 mm to the overall length. On a 3.6 m island that is 36 mm, which is enough to matter against a paving joint or a wall return, so it belongs in the drawing rather than in the delivery.
Where the taps sit relative to the right end
On an island the sink is usually nearest the house, which tends to put it at the right-hand end. A right panel then closes the flank right beside the tap, and that is the face guests see while somebody is filling a jug.
Colour is decided once for both
A pair is finished in one colour batch. Ordering the second panel a month later means a second batch, and two panels of the same nominal colour from different batches can read differently in low evening light.
