Ten steps from a grill model to a pallet on your drive
Nothing here is unusual. Almost nobody publishes it. This is the order of events, what triggers each payment, and what we need from you at each point — including the parts where you are paying for work rather than for cabinets.
10%, capped at CNY 10,000
Paid before drawing starts and credited in full against the order if you proceed. It buys the CAD layout and the visualisation, not the cabinets.
50%
Paid when you approve the measured drawing. This is what puts the order into the schedule.
50%, before shipment
Paid after you have seen the trial assembly photographed and filmed. Nothing leaves before it clears.
In order
What happens, and in what sequence
The sequence matters more than the individual steps. A drawing made before the site measure is a proposal, not an order — step 06 exists precisely because those two are not the same thing.
You send the brief
The space, the grill you are fitting, what you want to cook on and keep cold, and where it is going. A phone photo of the space and the grill’s model number is enough to start. No drawing of your own is needed.
Drawing fee — 10%, capped at CNY 10,000
10% of the order value, capped at CNY 10,000, paid before the drawing work begins. It is the only point in the process where you pay for design rather than for goods — and it is credited in full against the order once the order goes into production, so a customer who proceeds does not pay for the drawing twice.
CAD layout and visualisation
You get a dimensioned CAD layout and a 3D visualisation of the run in your space. The layout fixes module widths, where the grill cut-out lands, and where the sink, gas bottle and power have to be.
You approve the design
You confirm the module mix, the door finish, the countertop and the grill position. If the shape is wrong, this is the cheapest possible moment to say so.
Site measure
Either you measure the space against the drawing, or we arrange a third-party technician to attend site. A measure is not an installation — nobody bolts a cabinet to a wall at this stage.
Drawing reissued to what is actually there
The layout is corrected to the measured sizes and you confirm it a second time. This is the version that goes to the factory. After this approval, widths are locked.
Production deposit — 50%
The order enters the production schedule on the date the measured drawing is approved and the deposit clears. It does not enter it on the date of the enquiry, and it does not enter it on the date of the drawing fee. The drawing fee already paid is credited against the order value at this point.
Build — 35 to 40 days
A full custom kitchen takes 35–40 days. Cabinet bodies alone, taken from stock modules with no doors, no sight panels and no counter, take 20–25 days. Doors, panels and stone run on their own track and can extend the date.
Trial assembly and inspection
The whole run is assembled in the factory before anything is packed: modules bolted together as they will be on site, doors aligned, the grill dropped into its cut-out, the counter dry-fitted. Photographs and a short video go to you.
Balance, packing, collection
The remaining 50% is invoiced once you have seen the trial assembly, and is paid before shipment. Then the run is boxed and crated, a forwarder collects it, and it is delivered to your address — or to your site, if this is a project order.
Three payments
What is paid, and against what
Three lines, no fourth. Freight is quoted separately because it moves with the destination, and it never gets folded into the cabinet price to make the cabinet look cheaper.
| Stage | Triggered by | Amount | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Drawing fee — 10%, capped at CNY 10,000 | Before drawing starts | 10% of order value, capped at CNY 10,000 | A dimensioned CAD layout and a 3D visualisation of your space — credited in full against the order when it goes into production |
| Production deposit | Measured drawing approved | 50% | A place in the production schedule, and the factory order released |
| Balance | Trial assembly approved, before shipment | 50% | Packing, crating and release to the forwarder |
| Freight | Quoted per order | Separate line | Depends on destination, volume and whether a forklift is on site. Always shown as its own line before you approve anything. |
Site work is not one of these lines. We build and ship; we do not dispatch an installation crew, and no amount of deposit changes that. Gas, electrical and water connections are handled by a licensed trade where you are, and the installation page says exactly what that involves.
Dates
Lead time, and where the clock starts
A lead time is meaningless without a start date. Ours starts at step 07, not at the enquiry, and the two figures below are not interchangeable.
A · Full custom kitchen
35–40 days
Complete: bodies, doors, sight panels and counter, assembled and tested as one run. The range is not padding — a run with a stone counter and a shaped door face is not the same build as four plain bodies bolted together.
B · Cabinet bodies only
20–25 days
Stock modules, no doors, no sight panels, no counter. This is the faster route, and it is the one to ask about if you are fitting your own fronts or adding a counter locally.
Anything that adds a door, a visible panel or a counter takes route A, not route B. We would rather say that here than let a 20–25 day figure stand in for an order that cannot use it.
Step 05
Who measures the space
Two routes, both legitimate. What matters is that the numbers behind the factory drawing come from the room, not from an assumption.
You measure it
We send a measure sheet and a short list of photographs to take — corners, floor falls, the height under any window, where the power and water already are. Most customers do this themselves with a tape and a phone.
We arrange a third-party technician
Attend site, measure, and send the record back to us. This is quoted per order rather than off a rate card, because attendance changes completely between a metro address and a regional one — it is priced against your address, not against the size of the kitchen. Ask for it in the brief and we will quote it with the layout.
Either way, the drawing is reissued
The measured sizes almost never match the first drawing exactly. Step 06 is where that gets corrected, and it is the version you sign before production.
Limits
What this flow assumes, and what it does not cover
Written down because every one of these turns into a conversation later if it is left unsaid.
A drawing made before the measure is a proposal
It is built on your numbers. If the room disagrees, the drawing changes — that is what step 06 is for, and it is why the production deposit comes after it rather than before.
Custom colours are charged once
Standard finishes are on the colour card. A colour mixed for you carries a one-off tinting charge, quoted before it is ordered rather than after.
Freight, duty and local delivery are not in the cabinet price
They are quoted per order and shown as their own line. Pallets are delivered to the kerb and need a forklift or crane to unload — that is a site arrangement, not something we can do remotely.
A licensed trade does the services
Gas, electrical and water connections are not part of what we ship. The cabinet is ready for them: the vent is cut, the power point is left accessible, the sink cabinet leaves room behind for the waste.
Questions that come up
The six that are asked most
How much is the drawing fee?
10% of the order value, capped at CNY 10,000. It covers a dimensioned CAD layout and a 3D visualisation, and it is credited in full against the order once production starts — so if you go ahead, it is the first part of what you were going to spend, not an extra. It is agreed in writing before the drawing work starts, so there is no surprise figure halfway through.
When does production actually start?
On the date the measured drawing is approved and the 50% production deposit clears. The lead time runs from that date, not from the enquiry, the drawing fee or the first conversation.
Can I skip the site measure?
You can measure it yourself and send us the dimensions. We will not talk you out of that — a lot of customers do. But the drawing is only as good as the numbers behind it, which is why the measured drawing is confirmed separately before it goes to the factory.
Who arranges the site measure?
Either you do it, or we arrange a third-party technician to attend. That attendance is arranged and quoted per order according to the address, because the cost changes completely between a metro address and a regional one.
Do you install the kitchen?
No. We build and ship; we do not dispatch an installation crew. Two people can level and bolt a run together, and a licensed trade handles the gas, electrical and water connections. The installation page sets out what that involves.
What happens if something arrives damaged?
Replacement parts ship before the insurance conversation opens, so the build is not held up. We then deal with the carrier and the insurer ourselves. The delivery and warranty page states this in full.

Where the numbers enter the process
Step two is the CAD layout, and it only works because the modules are fixed sizes rather than cut to fit.
