HW-06 · Side burner in the worktop
Side burner cabinet
The module for the pan that will not fit on the grill. A single side burner sits in the 304 worktop on an 800 mm body — same 900 mm height, same 656 mm depth as everything else, so it lands in a run without a step or a packing piece.

What it does
For the pan the grill has no room for
There is a moment in every cook where the grill is full and something still needs a pan — a sauce, onions, a pot of water. A side burner is what stops that becoming a walk back to the house. It sits in the worktop on an 800 mm body, gas taken from the bottle bay beside it.
The space under the burner is an open bay: base panel, top panel, two sides and a back, with no shelf unless you ask for one. That is deliberate — the bay is usually deeper in use than a shelf line would allow.
In the standard configuration
- Door panel and false door
- Left and right side panels, base panel, top panel, back panel
- L-shaped handle-free alloy profile
- 304 titanium stainless worktop, burner aperture cut to your unit
- Skirting board and 2.5 inch braked castors
- Rear void left clear for the gas and any ignition lead
Beside the grill
Not across the run. The bottle bay wants to be within reach of both, so keep the two together.
At the open end
Pan work throws oil. Put the burner at the end of the run rather than in front of the seating.
No lid to clear
A side burner has no lid, so it is the one appliance that can sit under a low pergola beam.

Questions about this module
Do I need both a grill cabinet and a side burner?
They do different jobs, so most runs have both. HW-03 takes a built-in grill with a lid — that is where the meat goes. HW-06 takes a lidless side burner — that is where the pan goes. If the run only has room for one appliance, take the grill cabinet; a side burner is the second thing, not the first.
Where does the burner get its gas?
From the bottle bay next to it — HW-02 holds a cylinder up to 10 L. Keep the gas cabinet beside the burner and the grill so one bottle serves both. A fixed gas connection works too; we leave the rear void clear either way.
Does the burner need power?
Only if the burner has electronic ignition or a motor. If it does, reserve a weatherproof outlet behind the cabinet before first fix — the rear void is there for it. We do not run electrical work.

What usually sits next to it
Because every module shares the same height and depth, any of these lines up without adjustment.
